International Blue Flag inspections were held in Turkey this year in Aydin's Kuşadası and Didim districts. International Blue Flag Inspector Susanne Prip Madsen, appointed by the International Environmental Education Foundation (FEE), came to Kusadasi together with the Turkish Environmental Protection Agency team and supervised the beaches. Erol Güngör, General Director of the Turkish Environment Education Foundation (TURÇEV), Almira Kindan of the Blue Flag National Coordinator and Doğan Karataş of İzmir and Aydın İlleri Coordinator took part in the team.

Madsen said that as a result of the audits, the beaches and marinas have generally met the criteria, and that the mosques that give great importance to the site are very influenced by the Blue Flag views and contributions, and that it is ideal for vacationing with a beautiful nature and environment.
